Château Bellevue AOC Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux Red - Technical sheet
AOC Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux Red
The Sabourin family of Bordeaux winegrowers works an estate which has been handed down to them through eight generations. Château Bellevue is one of the oldest properties in the Blaye region. The vineyard is situated in Plassac at the highest point of a south facing hill, on the right bank of the Gironde, 45 km north of Bordeaux The vines grow on sunny slopes offering an exceptional view of the Gironde estuary facing the Médoc. Château Bellevue produces superb Bordeaux wines using traditional methods to the strict AOC standards and with ever more stringent quality criteria.
This 2010 is a beautifully limpid, deep ruby red exhaling notes of cherry, mild spice and red fruits. The lushness of the palate is counterbalanced by moderate, silky tannins which impart fine aromatic length.
Will make delightful drinking from 2013 with grilled meat over an informal meal with friends.
