Château Calendreau
AOC Bordeaux Red
In 2020, the Sichel family bought the property from the Galles family who had operated it for 4 generations. Located in the commune of Saint-André du Bois, the 36 ha vineyard in one piece adjoins that of Château ARGADENS, on very sunny hillsides overlooking the Garonne valley. The Maison Sichel team bring all their know-how to produce supple, elegant, well-structured wines that are very pleasant on the palate.

VINTAGE 2018
TASTING NOTES
A sustained garnet-red hue with purple tints, this vintage unveils a warming but subtly fresh nose of jammy prune. The palate is ample and fresh, supple but rich in extract, floral and with a long, sharp finish. Food/wine pairings: A good match for warm, cheese-based starters, any red or white meat, and cheese.

TASTING NOTES
The deep ruby color displays beautiful garnet reflections. Delicate and persistent aromas of spices and ripe red fruits run through the entire tasting. They permeate a soft and round palate, supported by quality tannins. It is harmonious and expresses all the generosity of its terroir.
