AOC Sauternes Sweet White

Françoise Sirot-Soizeau produces two crus in Barsac: Château Closiot and this, part of the Sauternes appellation. She is carrying on the family winegrowing tradition with the invaluable help of her husband, the well-known Belgian journalist, Bernard Sirot, a wine specialist. The estate is located on the edge of the limestone plateau of Barsac, bordering Doisy-Daëne, Doisy-Védrine and Coutet. This tiny vineyard has been farmed using integrated farming methods since 1996.

    TASTING NOTES

A clear, pale yellow wine with golden tints offering a generous basket of jammy and exotic fruits with a touch of floral aromas and a hint of toastiness. The palate is ample and generous, creamy and concentrated but never cloying, moderately oaked and perfectly balanced thanks to a pinch of acidity. Perfectly controlled botrytisation and excellent craftsmanship have shaped this grand vin, the result of a legendary vintage in an outstanding terroir.
