Having been in the Massonie family for three generations, Perron is now the responsibility of Bertrand Massonie, whose drive, passion, technical skill and respect for the property's exceptional terroir have contributed massively to its recent renaissance. One of the top wines in the appellation and a rising star of the Right Bank.

    TASTING NOTES

    Beautiful deep ruby red with tints at rim showing no signs of ageing as yet. Rich, powerful and many-layered nose of red fruits, dark spice, fresh oak and cocoa. Supple, velvety palate with fine, crisply elegant tannins. Fresh lingering finish with menthol flavours. A charming, easy-to-drink wine which will go down well with any fine food.

    AGEING

    To be tasted from 2021. It deserves to be waited a few years before being tasted.

    TASTING NOTES

    Presents beautifully. Profound garnet-red, slightly amber at rim. Attractive nose of red berries, sour cherry, spices and menthol with some oak and liquorice notes. The palate reveals a subtle, delicate wine and a velvety texture with beautifully ripe, plump tannins. Fresh, spicy finish. A very fine, easy-to-drink with good cellaring potential.

    To be tasted from 2021. It deserves to be waited a few years before being tasted.
