Château Piron

AOC Graves Red

Family-owned for nearly 300 years! The historic records for the village of Saint Morillon date the creation of the estate of Piron to 1693 by an ancestor of the Boyreau family. Still very attached to this terroir, Lionel Boyreau and his wife have taken up the reins of the estate with the same dedicated passion. No effort is spared in the vineyard to obtain grapes of excellent quality. Set in a great terroir, Château Piron is always exploring new modern techniques to develop and continually improve the quality of its wines.

    TASTING NOTES

This red Graves 2010 is a deep ruby red with crimson tints. The mature nose has great finesse and is a marriage of red fruit and spices underpinned by smoky, toasty notes supplied by the oak. Generous, velvety palate displaying the same jammy red fruit flavours. Toasty notes round out the aromatic array. Well structured with silky tannins. The grey pepper and menthol notes provide a sensation of freshness at the finish.

    AGEING

To drink from 2013. A wine which has everything it takes to age beautifully over the next five years.
