A family estate owned by the Goffre-Viaud family for four generations. The vines are situated on the Poujeaux plateau – the appellation’s best terroir. The wines of Château Ruat combine the all noble distinction of the grands vins of the Médoc with the elegance typical of the terroirs around Moulis.

TASTING NOTES
This 2012 is a profound ruby red – a sign of fine concentration. The complex, well-bred bouquet unveils sustained aromas of overripe grapes, jammy red fruit and hints of toast and spices highlighted by a slightly earthy note. Underpinned by intense, well-integrated tannins and offset by great freshness, the beautifully extracted palate displays perfect balance between fresh fruitiness and generosity. A very fine wine.
AGEING
Will make delicious drinking from 2015 but can easily be laid down for another 5 to 6 years.
