Château Tonnelle de Grillet (La)

AOC Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux Red

This estate extends over more than 39 hectares on the right bank of the Garonne in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. It has been owned by the same family through three generations. Both the father and grandfather of Patrice Glémet contributed to making the estate what it is today, planting and restructuring the vineyard. Patrice Glémet took over the family business in 1990, since when he has devoted all his efforts to rediscovering this terroir. State-of-the-art equipment and a modern approach to winemaking enable him to produce meticulously crafted, elegant wines.

This fine Bordeaux from the Blaye appellation is a beautiful ruby hue with deep purple tints. The intense, complex nose has notes of fresh red fruit, highlighted by a touch of spice. Fat and full at the attack, the palate opens up to realise its full aromatic, mouthfilling potential and silky tannins. Very long finish.
