AOC Saint-Emilion Red
Sombre-hued with dark purple tints, both the nose and the palate of this Clos Beard are redolent of red-berried fruit, these notes evolving into a harmonious marriage of spices and floral fragrances. The palate is ample and fruity, and underpinned with oaky notes imparting roundness, elegance and perfect balance. Reposing on a smooth but powerful tannic structure, this is a succulent wine for pleasure, the result of the excellent 2016 vintage.
To drink from 2019. Will be excellent after a few years' patient cellaring.
This wine is charming right away, by its beautiful deep sheen showing dark purples tints and by the delicacy of its aromas of red fruit on a backdrop of spices. On the palate, it feels creamy smooth with long-lasting structure given by delicious, fleshy tannins. All these qualities make Clos Béard superb! Clos Beard 2018 gives everything one would expect in a wine that comes from this exceptional terroir: elegance, delicacy and refinement.
