Domaine de Pellehaut L'Escoubasso
IGP Côtes de Gascogne Sweet white
The dialect word “escoubasso” means conclusion, a job done, completion. In Gascony, the “escoubasso” is the big meal held to celebrate the end of the harvest.
At Domaine de Pellehaut, the blocks of Petit Manseng are the last to be harvested (late October). This is why, in the Armagnac appellation and at Château de Pellehaut, we celebrate the end of the grape harvest with an escoubasso!
