Domaine de Pellehaut Réserve
IGP Côtes de Gascogne Red
Domaine de Pellehaut has been run for more than 300 years by successive generations of the Béraut family. Domaine de Pellehaut Réserve is made from the château's oldest plots which yield few grapes, but highly concentrated ones. A wine of hitherto unknown keeping quality in Gascony.
A deep, dark red wine which lights up at first sniff. A subtle mixture of fruity and spicy aromas lingers in the glass for minutes. This fine aromatic performance continues on the palate, with cherry, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg and other aromas underpinned by a powerful, elegant tannic structure. Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir: these three grapes blend beautifully together, offering a wine of rare intensity and complexity. An atypical wine for Gascony, it will enhance traditional fine cuisine.
To drink in 10 years which follow the vintage.
