G de Château Guiraud

AOC Bordeaux White

Together with Château d’Yquem, Château Guiraud – formerly Château de Bayle, classified in 1855 – is the only Premier Cru in the village of Sauternes. Guiraud was the patronym of the growth’s owners before the 1855 classification. That family made its mark on the Sauternes region and is said to date back to the seventeenth century. But it was only after 1981, when Guiraud was acquired by Frank Narby, a Canadian shipowner, that this growth recovered the prestige, quality and grandeur that reflects the fabulous terroir of which it is a part. Château Guiraud was bought in 2002 by FFP, a company of which the majority shareholders are the Peugeot family, Domaine de Chevalier (the Bernard family), Neipperg Invest and Xavier Planty, the current manager. Their shared ambition is to continue to produce excellent wines and develop the reputation of Château Guiraud. G de GUIRAUD is not a second wine, but rather an illustration of the know-how of Xavier Planty and Michel Liessi when it comes to dry white wine. Suitable for Vegan.
