    TASTING NOTES

The wine offers up an intense, many-layered bouquet with notes of apricot, honey and spice. The palate is a treasure trove of freshness and richness, with the dense liqueur texture very much present and an orange and apricot finish typical of the appellation.

    AGEING

A wine which can be laid down for 20 years to allow it to achieve its full potential, even though delicious while young - and therein lies the charm of this Sauternes.

A rich and complex wine with remarkable freshness on the nose. Aromas of citrus fruit blending with sweet apricots. Very fine oak still present on the palate, adding hints of toast to the rich fruit flavours and complementing, rather than upsetting, the balance and complexity of this very fine 2008.

    TASTING NOTES

Sichel Sauternes, crafted by one of the most prestigious classified growths of the appellation, enjoys the same meticulous, very special care that goes into producing the top botrytised wines of this prestige-laden appellation. Here, the Sémillon and Sauvignon combine harmoniously to offer a highly expressive bouquet of citrus notes and jammy fruit with a hint of honey. Over an ample, richly extracted base, the palate displays a many-layered, persistent aromatic array of jammy orange and dried fig notes. Drink very chilled, with a seasonal fruit salad or blue cheese, for example.

    AGEING

    8 to 12 years.

    TASTING NOTES

A pale gold hue that augurs well. This 2011 offers a remarkably complex bouquet in which mineral notes combine with aromas of honey, jammy fruit (apricots, oranges) and acacia blossom. The palate displays outstanding balance, typical of this wine’s noble origins. Rounded, soft and full yet presenting great freshness, crowned by a lingering, harmonious finish. The back-of-palate goes on and on. A great Sauternes without any doubt.

    TASTING NOTES

Remarkably rich, complex wine. The bouquet is a beguiling combination of jammy fruit, bitter orange, apricot jam with a hint of spice (cloves) and elegant toasty notes. Creamy, with toastiness at every stage of the tasting, the palate is impressively well-balanced and long and offers a touch of fruity freshness at the finish. A very great Sauternes.
