Château Angludet (d') AOC Margaux Red - Техническое описание

Château Angludet (d')

AOC Margaux Red

Owned by the Sichel family since 1961, Angludet is situated at the heart of the prestigious appellation of Margaux and surrounded by Cru Classé properties. It is the responsibility of Benjamin Sichel, whose constant quest for quality is reflected in his policy of drastically limiting the yield of each vine plant and finding the natural balance of the entire vineyard, in order to get the best expression of this exceptional terroir in every glass. Angludet's wines enjoy a worldwide reputation for their elegance, aromatic finesse and their exceptional ageing potential.

Young in colour, a deep red with crimson tints and a deep purple sheen. The equally harmonious bouquet is a marriage of black fruits (cassis, raspberry, cherry) and spices with more roasted notes of cocoa and mocha resulting from finely controlled ageing; empyreumatic flavours are the underlying influence here. The finesse and elegance found on the front of palate give way to a smooth, generously rounded texture underpinned by mouth-filling tannins; these grow rounder right through to the finish while retaining their velvety feel. This is a high-class, seductively elegant Margaux which begs to be left at least until the next decade to be able to offer up its full potential.

The quality of this outstanding terroir once again shows through in this vintage. The sumptuous, crimson-tinted hue inspires confidence from the start. Accompanying the generous bouquet, a mixture of blackcurrant, blackberry, spices and liquorice notes, is harmonious, classy oak which blends beautifully into the whole without dominating. The balance on the palate, between velvety tannins, creamy extract and remarkable freshness, is perfect, while the floral, soft and fresh finish rounds out the tasting in style. A wine with breeding and all the elegance of a first-class Margaux.

To drink from 2011, but will be at its peak after more then 10 years ageing in the bottle.
