Château La Chapelle du Couvent

AOC Blaye - Côtes de Bordeaux Red

The history of this estate goes back to around the year 804, when a chapel was erected at the place where Charlemagne threw his spear after winning a battle. Destroyed during the Norman invasions, it is said to have been rebuilt in 1656. A chapel of high renown, it drew pilgrims from the regions of Bordeaux, Blaye, Saintonge and Agoulême. At the end of 1792, the chapel and adjoining convent were auctioned off as “national properties”. By the early nineteenth century, only the chapel remained, but pilgrimages continued into the 1950s. Situated on the slopes above the village of Plassac overlooking the Gironde, the estate has been owned by the Lorteaud family since 1960. Consisting of some twenty hectares, it produces a balanced and harmonious red wine.

    ДЕГУСТАЦИОННЫЕ ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКИ

Beautiful ruby garnet color. The intense and flattering bouquet evokes red fruits and spices. The palate is delicious, with a beautiful substance, suave and creamy. The coated tannins leave a very good final impression and the desire for more. An already charming wine. This accessible wine will also surprise you as an aperitif, also with grilled red meats but also with any modern or improvised cuisine.

    ХРАНЕНИЕ
