Château Roc de Bignon AOC Bordeaux Red - Техническое описание
Château Roc de Bignon
AOC Bordeaux Red
The estate has been family-owned since 1550. Some of the buildings date from the late seventeenth century. The name of “Roc de Bignon” comes from the place called “Bignon”, the original plot of land on which the estate’s vines grew. The name “Roc" (“rock”) became associated quite naturally with the place, as the vines are planted in limestone terrain. Moreover, the village of Frontenac is well-known for its quarries which produce Frontenac Stone. The present owner, Jack Saillan, has run the estate for 40 years.
The product of a legendary vintage, this wine is a beautiful red hue with crimson tints. The nose offers fruity notes of sour cherry, backed up by aromas of spice, juniper and aniseed. The chewy, concentrated palate reveals an ideally balanced structure, supplying length that augurs well. The reflection of careful craftsmanship.
