Crafted with passion by Daniel Ybert in this vineyard of Merlot Noir, this wine presents the richness, elegance and classicism typical of Saint Emilion. The nose is a mixture of ripe fruit with toasty notes, vanilla and a hint of leather. The chewy attack supplied the Merlot is offset by fine vivacity which imparts freshness and a creamy texture. The persistent finish is borne along by taut tannins wrapped in generous extract. Very well-balanced wine, best drunk after a few years' cellaring.

Drinking nicely from 2013 but has fine ageing potential of 5-6 years.

This 2013 is a beautiful sombre hue with purple tints. The vibrant nose offers up warming aromas of dark fruit, spices and toasty notes. The same fruit and mild spice is present on the generous, powerful palate, where the Merlot provides plenty of roundness. From colour to finish, this Saint-Emilion Grand Cru excites the senses. Succulent and flavoursome, it is a faithful representative of its terroir and will be ready for drinking from 2015.

Drinking nicely from 2015 but has fine ageing potential of 5-6 years.

The result of a textbook vintage, this wine expresses all the finesse and elegance of an outstanding terroir. A beautiful crimson red of brooding intensity. The elegant nose evocative of blackberry, black cherry and beautifully ripened Merlot is underpinned by harmonious oak and toasty notes. The palate has the creamy unctuousness typical of this exceptional terroir and crunchy tannins wrapped in velvet-smooth but fresh extract. Superb balance with a complex, lingering back-of-palate – a wine which is just begging to be tasted with veined cheese over a meal with friends.

Drinking nicely from 2018 but has fine ageing potential of 5-10 years.

Sumptuously clad in deepest burgundy red, this wine is redolent with intense black fruit aromas, a touch of oak and hints of vanilla. The same fine complexity is found on the palate, which is sound and robust, with a creamy attack. The palate opens with fresh fruit aromas, borne along by promising tannins. A fine wine that reflects the quality of the work both in the vineyard and in the winery.

Drinking nicely from 2019 but has fine ageing potential of 5-10 years.
