Chevalier de Cantenac
AOC Margaux Red
This wine, the result of an exceptional vintage, is a beautiful, sombre shade of ruby, with a slightly brick tints emerging at the rim. Somewhat closed at first sniff, the nose opens up on swirling to reveal red fruit notes with an elegant hint of toastiness. On the palate, the generous attack with fruity, spicy and earthy flavours is underpinned by fine tannins enveloped in creamy extract. A remarkably complex wine which is still in its youth. Give it a little more time to allow the already well-integrated tannins to gain in expression and length.
Drinking from 2017; a great match for a fine cut of grilled meat or a well-garnished cheese board, but whatever the case over any informal meal.
