The sustained, deep ruby colour of this wine leaves no doubt as to its richness and intensity. The bouquet displays superb complexity with aromas of blackberry and black cherry and a late impression of vanilla, denoting ageing in quality oak. The supple, rounded palate reveals strong tannins wrapped in silky extract and a long, fruity finish with a mingling of roasted, oaky notes. A typical, harmonious Médoc.

    TASTING NOTES

A beautiful, deep carmine hue. The bouquet displays spicy, roasted notes with mocha and sweetbread at first, these mingling with the evolving fragrances of blackcurrant, blackberry and sour cherries in brandy. The attack is full-bodied, with chewy, balanced and lingering tannins on the mid-palate and an aromatic finish of redcurrant and black plum. This Médoc could be the perfect accompaniment for herby, plump braised quail accompanied by spring peas and melt-in-your-mouth carrots.

    AGEING

    To drink from 2014.

A beautiful, brilliant carmine red. Very expressive bouquet of overripe, predominantly black and red berried fruit to start with – blackcurrant, cherry, and prunes soaked in brandy – then evolving to spice, sweetbread and chocolate Ample on the attack, the tannins gradually emerging to reveal a balanced, mouth-fillingly rich mid-palate, the result of beautifully ripened grapes. Long, aromatic finish.

    TASTING NOTES

Deeply coloured with ruby tints. The expressive, elegantly oaked bouquet unveils aromas of black-berried fruits, mild spice and vanilla with just a touch of smokiness. The front-of-palate reveals a silky texture enveloping a firm, perfectly smooth structure. The mid-palate offers notes of concentrated fig, prune and fresh blackcurrant that evolve to earthy, tobacco aromas and end with toasty flavours imparted by ageing in excellent-quality oak barrels. A very fine, attentively crafted wine from this unique Médoc terroir.
