Château Cluzan

AOC Bordeaux Red

Impeccably kept, medium-sized family property. The vineyard and the cellar are managed with rigour and passion by Ms and M. Evesque, who produces a deeply coloured, intensely fruity wine, with pure varietal aromas and excellent structure. Château Cluzan is bottled early with no oak ageing to preserve the maximum amount of freshness.

    TASTING NOTES

A sombre red, with brick tints at rim. The nose is expressive of black fruit – blackberry – cloves and truffle. Generous, opulent palate. The great maturity of the grapes is clearly perceptible in this voluptuously rounded, generous wine.

    AGEING

It will be at its best between 2015 and 2021.

    VINTAGE 2016

    TASTING NOTES

Following in the footsteps of the previous vintages of Château Cluzan, the 2016 is a classic, generous and typical example of a red Bordeaux. Deep red in colour, the typical hallmark of a perfectly crafted young Bordeaux wine. The expressive nose opens with delicious aromas of ripe grapes and a hint of spice. This gives way to sappy aromas on the pleasantly tannic palate which is supple, but displays just the right amount of fresh, fruity extract. Definitely a wine for pleasure in an authentic Bordeaux style.

    AGEING

    To drink from 2017.
