Château De Coudot AOC Haut-Médoc Red - Technical sheet

Château De Coudot

AOC Haut-Médoc Red

The “Cru Artisan”, or “Artisan’s Cru” has existed for more than a century and a half. Originally, the growers who owned these family vineyards were often craftsmen at the same time, working as bakers, carpenters, coopers, or in some other trade. With a strong sense of identity, these men of the soil struggled to ensure that the fruit of their labours survived economic crisis. Alone, with their family or with the help of employees, the artisan winegrowers take charge of the entire production chain, from tending the vines right through to selling the wine in the majority of cases. This protected title is a quality reference for consumers.

    VINTAGE 2010

A wine of black berried fruit, predominantly blackcurrant. The palate is round and velvety with very fine length. Ripe, well-integrated tannins. Fine balance, with fruit at the fore. Château de Coudot makes an ideal accompaniment for grilled meat. Stews, mushrooms, fish grilled or cooked in red wine, mild cheese and red fruit desserts also make ideal matches for this excellent wine.

An excellent vintage which can be cellared for 10-15 years.
