Château Les Ragottes

AOC Bordeaux Red

The wine estate of Château Les Ragottes dates from the nineteenth century, but remains of a vineyard going back to the Gallo-Roman period have found in immediate proximity to it. The Orsini family settled here in 1943. At that time, the estate consisted of 3 hectares of vines. Down the years, the family steadily developed its winegrowing business and now, two generations of dedicated winegrowers later, the estate has grown to 18 hectares.

A beautiful and intense deep crimson. A mouth-filling, fruity wine displaying fine complexity. The noise reveals aromas of spices and red and black berried fruit, while the superbly harmonious palate shows fine balance over a tannic structure which provides fine aromatic length.

    AGEING

Best drunk some years after vintage over a festive meal – a barbecue for example – or a generous cheese board.

These pervade a soft, rounded palate underpinned by quality tannins. A harmonious whole that concludes with a soft, balanced finish of jammy fruit notes. A globally harmonious, succulent wine which fully expresses the generosity of its terroir.
