Château Mondain

AOC Bordeaux Red

This family-owned estate lies on a limestone plateau in the village of Juillac near Castillon la Bataille. Born into a family which had rented the property for 3 generations, Pierre Ciroli purchased it in 2000. Pierre Ciroli does all the viticultural and winemaking work on the estate, shouldered by his two sons who will be taking up the reins of the business after him. The greatest possible attention is paid to the vines and no effort is spared to ensure that tradition is respected in this vineyard of human dimensions.

    VINTAGE 2010

    TASTING NOTES

The product of one of the greatest Bordeaux vintages, this wine offers all the elegance and refinement typical of a Bordeaux grand vin. Clad in an elegant dark red hue, it unveils a pleasing bouquet of blackcurrant mixed with fresh, earthy notes. The palate displays fine balance between the generous fruit and silky tannins. A fresh, fruity wine to enjoy over a festive meal of rib of beef or shoulder of lamb, or cheese.

    AGEING

Drinking nicely now, but will continue to improve for several years after vintage.
