Château Tayac Cuvée Labory de Tayac AOC Margaux Red - Technical sheet

Château Tayac Cuvée Labory de Tayac

AOC Margaux Red

In 1847, the vineyard formed part of Château Desmirail, a Margaux “3ème Cru Classé”. The estate was later divided up and the part belonging to the then owner became an independent entity named Château Tayac. Owned by the same family for four generations, the estate is farmed with painstaking care by Guy Portet, its technical director, while Nicolas Portet is in charge of the winemaking, which is based on traditional methods.

    VINTAGE 2006

The result of stringent selection and careful vinification, the wine presents a beautiful red hue. With its notes of red fruits, the bouquet of red fruits displays seductive finesse and elegance. The palate is pleasingly supple, round on attack, and with a well-integrated tannic structure with toasty notes. The overall impression is harmonious and beguiling.

Will make excellent drinking over an informal meal from 2009 and has fine ageing potential.
