Domaine de Pellehaut L'Escoubasso
IGP Côtes de Gascogne Sweet white
The dialect word “escoubasso” means conclusion, a job done, completion. In Gascony, the “escoubasso” is the big meal held to celebrate the end of the harvest. At Domaine de Pellehaut, the blocks of Petit Manseng are the last to be harvested (late October). This is why, in the Armagnac appellation and at Château de Pellehaut, we celebrate the end of the grape harvest with an escoubasso! Suitable for Vegan.
With a golden yellow hue, the nose is exotic. It has notes of mango, yellow-fleshed fruits such as peach, apricot, but also notes of vanilla, ylang ylang and lime blossom. The Palate is opulent, with peach and mango flavors coated with notes of honey, vanilla and cinnamon. To drink as an aperitif, or as an accompaniment to a cheese platter, or even with an exotic dish
Drink within 3-5 years after the vintage. Good cellaring potential.
