Situated in the village of Sauveterre de Guyenne at the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers wine region, Château Cantillac has belonged to the Fernandez family since 1956. After long years of research, varietal selection and sheer hard work, its proprietor, Roger Fernandez, raised the quality to levels of excellence. This know-how has been continued by his grandson Jean with the same respect for tradition and work well done and the desire to offer a quality product.

    Beautiful dark red color announcing a beautiful concentration. The fine nose reveals very pretty aromas of dark berries harmoniously nuanced with spicy and vanilla notes. The palate is dense, rich, greedy, lined with ripe fruit, beautiful silky tannins from Merlots harvested at perfect maturity. It has a very nice aromatic development, with a nice balance and a supple tannic structure. The finish offers a nice length on the fruit.

    A sustained ruby red wine that unveils a generous and intensely fruity bouquet (of redcurrant, blackcurrant and blackberry) with harmonious highlights of spicy and vanilla notes. The palate is a dense, rich carpet of lush, ripe fruit and fine, powerful tannins from Merlot grapes harvested at perfect maturity. An excellently crafted wine, the fruit of untiring, uncompromising labour which has enabled the typical characteristics of Merlot and the high quality of the terroir to be expressed.
