Château La Monge - Cuvée Malbec
AOC Côtes de Bourg Red
The history of Vignobles Bourdillas began long ago...
Indeed, their ancestors already owned vineyards during the time of the French Revolution. Their lands originally spanned about ten hectares in the communes of Lansac and Tauriac, and today they extend to 110 hectares. The estate has remained within the family for generations. Since 1980, the four Bourdillas brothers, assisted by their children, have been dedicated to blending tradition with modernity in both the vineyard and the winery, with a focus on environmental care in order to produce wines of the highest quality under the Côtes de Bourg appellation.

TASTING NOTES
The wine’s deep red color pairs with a generous bouquet where red fruit aromas mingle with subtle sweet spices, hinting at great complexity. On the palate, it is warm, spicy, and well-rounded, offering a rich and smooth texture, balanced by velvety tannins. This is a round, fruity, and spicy wine in its youth, which will soften and gain complexity over time. It can be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with roasts, grilled meats (barbecue), and hard cheeses.
AGEING
Best enjoyed from 2022, with a potential for several years of aging.
