Château Notre Dame - Cuvée du Moulin

AOC Montagne Saint Emilion Red

CHÂTEAU NOTRE-DAME is situated on a hill overlooking SAINT-ÉMILION. It was bought in 1952 by the Gerbeau Leynier family, who fell in love with the château itself and the surrounding land. Faithful to this family passion, sister and brother Sabine and Thierry Leynier have taken over the management of the estate with the aim of perpetuating the family know-how. The family crafts its red wines with meticulous care and respect for this exceptional terroir. Each vintage bears the stamp of a wine that has withstood the test of time.

    TASTING NOTES

Beautiful, intense crimson red color. The elegant nose evokes blackberry, black cherry and perfectly ripe Merlot underlined by harmonious oak and toasted notes. On the palate that we find all the smoothness of this exceptional terroir; a texture that is both sweet and fresh, crunchy tannins coated with a velvety, smooth texture. A nice balance with a complex and persistent aromatic length.

    TASTING NOTES

This 2019 offers us a beautiful, deep garnet hue with ruby tints, and a generous, elegant bouquet expressive of bilberry and spices. The inviting, well-structured palate is further proof of a rich vintage, in which the Merlot is the predominant influence. A well-balanced wine that promises excellent ageing. A remarkable and already tantalising wine which holds plenty of promise for the future.
